Remember

 Now that I see

The hiding darkness beneath
Your perfect eyes which hide so many lies,
I remember where I have seen
This windy, rainy scene.
Above the clouds I rest my eyes,
And remember that creepy night.

How you walked along,
Ignoring my after goodbye,
I remember how for so long,
I am so ignored and despised.

This is something I have landed upon,
This is my misery, my throne.
I don't think before I speak,
For i remember everything I did,
I am not afraid to say it again now,
I was not afraid to do this again.

But your apathy gave way to this dark forest,
Where my desires lay shattered under the shade,
I kept walking until I walked upon a cliff,
I knew I had to jump or walk back to the path I came from.

So I went back, so I was that version again,
So I was hurt, built and battered, so I was wretched again.
I stood in the running rain, I stood where I watched you leave,
My heart crossed the sheet and slithered wept past the streams.
My heart had shattered long before,
It was now alone that I remembered,
And see.
