There were Stars
Stars were in the roller skates you rode to my house,
from where we watched the sun go down,Long before I realized my life was worth the crowd.
Stars were in the lights we hung alone at my house,
The night seemed like a perfect shade of my dream town,
Long before I knew i was falling in love with you around.
Stars were in the texts you sent to me from your dorm,
And the walls in my bedroom spoke things I couldn't dare to speak about,
My heart seemed to beat louder than ever until I realized I had loved more than you could never.
Stars were hiding behind the bushes when i sneaked up to your house,
Under the shining lights of your room, the midnight gave no sign of a sound,
I thought of knocking softly at your door, thought of seeing your shadow coming alive to running down,
But I heard your voice calling someone else's name when I stood in your green bushes, under your only window from where I heard that noun.
Stars were gone from the sky the following days, where you stood up at the porch of my house,
I refused to open the door and gambled a friend to cheat that I was out of town,
Not sure if I'll ever return to mess around, and your face kinda looked sad but I know it was out of colors.
Stars were now on my wrist which was about to cut a half hour before from now,
The blood glittered if smirking at my misery and my rotting shroud,
But I gave a glance to the sky and there was the only star peeking from the clouds,
I opened the window and let it come about.
The stars spoke all night to me as if singing a life rule,
And i slept till I heard the name of you, waking up, looking around,
But they spoke the kinda truth I was scared to hear me out.
So I wore the stars everyday since on the night,
I was shining bright, shining bright like a diamond knit,
I glowed till I overflowed my shine to others,
And i slowly forgot about the stars in my cupboard.
