Zombie outbreak

"Where were YOU?" I shouted back to my long lost friend.
He smacks his lips back to its place and silently walks off. I don't care now, whatever.

When I walked out of the school gate and drove my scooty back home. My home is right on the edge of the side lane. It has quite many open doors and seems almost like an open in and out tour, but I keep all the doors closed. I have a small one at the back of the house, one for the entry, one for the kitchen stuff, and one which is almost like an open balcony.

I immediately drifted off to sleep, and woke up to an eerily silent lane. My phone kept pinging on and on and became the reason for the break of my long deep dream. I finally picked it up and saw so many flash messages on internet.

It is signaling a zombie outbreak near the outskirts of the town.

This is the death of me. Something I have feared my whole life. I glance outside my balcony and look for signs. I don't think it's too late. I quickly get up and tight close all my doors. Pin curtains to the windows, blocking off the sunlight and barricade any possible entry way firmly. I turn off all the lights, and wait for something to happen.

I guess I have enough supplies to last me a month. I hope it passes soon and doesn't spread out inside the town. I also silent all my phones before they ping the zombies to life. I wonder if I should text my beloved ones or if the sound may cause danger.

-
4 hours have passed and I can't sense any danger. It is starting to get dark. I can feel my pulsating heart as if it has sensed what is about to happen.

I hear a knock at the door. It is a very soft knock as if the visitor doesn't wants to wake the person inside. The tapping is repeated, i don't know if i should check. Anyway i do peek out the window slightly, and it seems not a fabric of the curtain was moved.

There is someone standing out black hooded hence his face is hidden obviously. I don't sense a zombie out, still i don't think i should open. Suddenly the hooded man looks straight at my window, right where i am and what i saw of his face is undescribable to the depths.

I think my heart skipped several damn beats at the look of his horrid eyes which were red, the white at its periphery shining from the last light left of the night. I quickly shut my curtain, swearing halfway through, and crouched down short enough to be completely far from sight. I scurried to the base of my wardrobe's opened door and could see the figure hovering over my curtain. It's silhouette almost made my stomach do weird twirls to make me uncomfortable.

From what i could perceive of the build, it wasn't a zombie but something much worse to be honest. I haven't ever been face to face with something like that ever. Not a human being for sure too.

It was for a few minutes more than 10 that the figure left my window. I was sure of all the openings of my house being tight damn shut and i curled up myself in my wardrobe. God knows what is happening in the world right now. I wondered and picked up my phone. I saw some texts from my friends knowing they were safe and my family is too far from where i live so there's no concern of them. I googled the epidemic and learnt that they were on the verge of controlling it fully. I was glad but still made up my mind to not leave until the next few more weeks i can imagine feeding on my supplies.

I slept through the night unaware of my surroundings till i woke up with a start from a loud bang on my door. It took me a while locating the bang sound till i heard it from the kitchen. The thumps were loud and desperate and the bad news, there's no window to look out for the spot.
I made my way crawling to the door and heard some whisperings coming.
"Please open...please.." Someone was banging loud but whispering so low almost inaudible. It sounded humane to me. I tried to converse.
"Who are you?" I stayed low.
"Oh.." She breathed a sigh of relief and stopped banging. "Oh, please let me in. I am Stella and i am stuck outside. Please let me in first. Please."
I opened the door a bit to look out and my heart stopped at the sight. She was shivering with a deep gash on her forehead. I quickly let her in and shut the door tight.
We looked at each other for a second before i went to grab the first aid and told her to stay low and sit on the floor. I bandaged her wound and brought a sweater and stall for her.

"Tell me what happened." I whispered to her.
"I had went to grab groceries out of hunger for 2 days and when i was paying the cashier, he let out a loud shriek at the sight of a zombie stralling the street. The zombie took march for him and i made it out somehow out of the store. There was only one but don't know how many are still strolling out. But when i was coming out the door i hit my head on a rod and got this wound. I couldn't turn around for my home just about the mall so made it here."
"Glad you did. God that's so unfortunate. I hope people are inside their homes."
