The Accident Part 6

 Part 6

"Mark was something else."

I never knew the police station aura could feel so daunting. Its incomprehensible what I feel here. The people behind the bars are either silent or cursing the guards or wailing out their innocence. But its all of no use. There isn't silence all around. Along with the voices, the vices are going round and round, around all the minds present here.
Life's a mess for people who don't know how to handle it. You're not controlled by the people criticize. You're controlled by the people you can't judge. A word from Voltaire changed me.
I'm controlled by me.

"We've had many cases with him", the head officer says swinging both his hands behind his head and stretching out in front as if this is a normal call. "Mark, to be honest, was a pain in the ass. We could never get him in and even if we did, he always found a way out. He had got this instinct and ambience around himself, that cloud of indecisiveness for the other's mind was wrapped close around his chest, all over him. Believe me, you wouldn't like to hear about him more."

"I do." I say banging my hand on the desk which echoed through the walls and into the veins of the people shouting, sending them still. "I want to know", I'm almost about to cry. "The people who were on board. We have no account of them. That cheap hospitals running a mess and theft on money and you're sitting here, behaving as if everything going on in this town is FINE."
"I don't..." I catch my breath and roll the tears back in their sockets, where they belong. "I still don't know where's my Judy and whether she's OKAY OR NOT! And NOW if you and your beanies aren't going to find the error in this case.."
"I'll be leaving for the court soon as I get out from here."
This is the worst and the loudest I have ever challenged someone.

The officer kept his eyes wide all along my conversation and after I finish, he straightens up quick and breathes out...
"Okay, okay, no need for that. Tell me everything. "

"Ahh this seems so creepy and strange. Mark was always a man of means. If he was the driver, God knows how, then he must have done that on purpose. And by the way it isn't the stereotypes of blackwoods which are stopping me from investigating that area. Its...its more that if Mark is alive and is in the woods, it's not going to be okay for any on our members."
"And why so?" I ask raising an eyebrow. Yes I'm rude.
"Uh, if you'll see the records of Mark based on the amount of houses he's wrecked and the way, mainly, he's vandalized it. Its so loud. The pictures speak for themselves."
He throws out some pictures on the desk and it's...so similar.

"Its same as mine..." I say as my voice fainted. The red marks on the walls. The broken way of windows. The rummage. The rug.
"Someone had vandalized my apartment just like this few weeks ago. It's similar." I look up to say it to the officer but his eyes are already wide.
"What? Are you sure?""yeah"
"Then I'm afraid, he must be after you."
"But why? "
"I don't know... Probably why he took Judy too."
